Day 64: Trees!

I kinda liked the trees I drew in the picture from the last blog so I just stick with it and thought I’d try a different scene where the tree the focal point instead of the bloke. As in life the closest objects are

more clearly defined. Each level further back in the piicture becomes less defined until the furthest trees where they lose detail and become wispy silhouettes in the gloom.

I started with one and worked my way in. I’ve learnt a lot about depth doing this. Perspective isn’t everything after all :)

I didn’t like the grass at the bottom of this so I did the further tree a bit differently. Next time I’ll know better how to draw around the base of the tree.

Heres the current state of the picture. Probably not finished but I’ve taken it as far as I need to for now.
