Day 25: That’s no moon...

Short blog tonight as I’ve got whisky sauce to make. The theme was Volcanos, craters and coffee mugs tonight. First two basic drawings are below and are generally just reiterations if shapes already drawn and well practiced.


It’s just going over fore-shortened circles and cylinders on the face of it but there’s a point to this that doesn’t immediately meet the eye.
I found I learned more about texture tonight Than anything else. Note the “big“ drawing from the evening below and going from bottom to top of the drawing see how my way of texturing the rock formations changed as I grew to understand it better.

This Mark Kistler guy is a very, very good teacher.
