Today's hour was spent literally with my feet up drawing. I learned two things - that drawing from sight is really, really difficult and, that feet, like hands, can be simplified down to a simple offset pentagon shape.
Oh, and I figured out how to add a video to the blog :)
So, when I had me feet up, I did this:

...then I added some crappy shading...

...and then I really relaxed and took my shoes off...

In the midst of all this I learned the foot shape which will make things easier the next time I attempt this. I'll work on shadows before I return to this though. I need to learn to hold a shape in my mind while I'm doing that and at the minute I not doing that well at all!
Just as a demo of adding videos I made one demonstrating what I learned about the shape of feet from today.
The video ended while it was still rough so here is the picture version of what you just watched.

Next blog I'll post some old pics I drew in my teens, back when I had an aptitude that my now 47 year old self would punch my 17 year-old self in the face for not running with.
But no regrets...lol
